Chardonnay grapes has long been a part of the repertoire of the vineyard  management team at Williams Selyem in the Russian River Valley.

The initial estate vineyard was first established in 1998, on deep alluvial sandy soil  on the lower bench of the Russian River. Renowned for its classic Russian River  fruit, the Lazy W Vineyard, on West Side Road, is nestled in the heart of the  Russian River Valley AVA, in close proximity to its confluence with Dry Creek. During the growing season, the climate is typically warm to hot at noon, but  mitigated by afternoon breezes, perpetually cool nights, and repeating patterns of  morning and evening fog.
